EGMR: Notary suspended for transfer of State property to a monastery: no violation of Convention

In today’s Chamber judgment in the case of Peleki v. Greece (application no. 69291/12) the European Court of Human Rights held, unanimously, that there had been no violation of Article 6 § 1 (right to a fair hearing) of the European Convention on Human Rights. The case concerned disciplinary proceedings against the applicant, a notary by profession, after she was instrumental in the conveyance of State property to a monastery.
